Episode 2: A Conversation with Prof. Tracy McGaugh of the Touro Law Center
This podcast features a conversation with friend, colleague and fearless defender of the Millennial generation, Professor Tracy McGaugh. Tracy is an Associate Professor of Legal Process and Assistant Dean for Academic Advising at the Touro Law Center. She has written and lectured all over the globe on legal writing and law teaching. She is the co-author of two of the standard resources in legal writing programs, Interactive Citation Workbook: Bluebook Edition and Interactive Citation Workbook: ALWD Edition. It would have been tremendously boring to talk about (and listen to) Tracy's wisdom on legal citation. So, instead, this discussion concerns one of her other areas of expertise: the impact of generational differences on legal education and law practice. (You can learn more by visiting her blog, Millennial Law Prof).
Topics include: the defining characteristics of Boomers, Xers and Millennials; how the Millennials are going to change law practice; the usefulness and limits of these generational characterizations; the extension of the American adolescence; and, the first concert that Prof. McGaugh (a fellow X-er) attended live. (Before giving a listen, feel free to guess her first concert in the comments).
